NAMMBA Mid-South had our 2026 Board Installation on May 21st. The decor and ambience of the Jr. Ballroom added elegance to the event. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Ms. Warren and Ms. Trineka were so gracious. The food was delicious. When some of the guests arrived late they were served expeditiously and the servers had a welcoming smile on their faces. I did a baby shower here about 2 years ago. I waited to write this review so that the owner wouldn’t retaliate against the host. The venue is beautiful. However, the owner was really rude. It seemed that she didn’t like that the host used outside vendors to cater and decorate. I was the event designer and she treated me so poorly. The vendors I used also expressed the same sentiment and expressed that they will never agree to do an event at this location again. I was told the day of the event that the vendors needed to purchase insurance although their businesses were already insured and they were licensed business owners. She also fussed at me for not telling them where to load their items from even though I wasn’t told that myself. Whenever I asked for anything extra she sighed heavily and walked off. She made her manager nervous by the way she talked to her and honestly I don’t think this is the career field for her manager neither. She was unorganized and forgetful. It was a HORRIBLE experience as an event planner but luckily my client knew nothing about what her family and I had experienced planning this event. Never experienced this from any venues I’ve used over the years. Y

I had a great experience with Martha at Southern Elegance. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and runs her business with both grace and firmness, which I truly respect. Martha clearly takes pride in what she does, and it shows in every detail. Everything is done with quality, care, and true elegance. If you’re looking for someone who values professionalism and high standards, I highly recommend Southern Elegance.

My graduation celebration was simply amazing at Southern Elegance! The venue was beautifully decorated and stunning. There was plenty of food for everyone and it was delicious! I commend the staff with helping my mom put this all together and helping to make this a memorable event for me, my friends who traveled so far, my family and everyone in attendance. I’ll never forget the moment and lasting memories. Thank you Mrs. Martha and staff! Y’all rock!

"BIG SHOUT OUT!" to Mrs. Martha and the entire staff of Southern Elegance Events & Catering! I was the Mistress of Ceremony for Eric & Ramona's 30th Wedding Anniversary. I'm also a Comedian and have hosted thousands of events! This was my first time hosting at Southern Elegance... and Oh My God!!! What a pleasant surprise! Let's start at the parking lot: adequate parking space for hundreds of guests, including multiple handicap spaces and great lighting. Front door: There was a host at attendance, to assist me, upon my entrance and exit. Foyer: Humongous; plenty of seating and elegant taste in floor tile, furniture, lighting and "Cleanliness is Next to Godliness"...and felt real "Holy" (lol) Now, for the GRAND BALLROOM, and I mean GRAND! The Decor was nothing short of EXQUISITE! It was JAW-DROPPINGLY GORGEOUS!!! But, more importantly for me, the service was on point! PROFESSIONAL--PATIENT--COURTEOUS--ACCOMODATING--and the FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! Mrs. Martha and Southern Elegance THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!! Eric & Ramona have been through a lot, in the past few years and you all made this such a CARE-FREE SPECIAL OCCASION!
